'Flora'

Today’s theme ‘Flora the Roman goddess of flowers’ is to welcome the coming of Spring, making it more challenging for me because my garden is experiencing the savages of a hot wet humid summer.

To do this theme justice I felt a Maze-zashi arrangement depicts the essence of Flora. The arrangement consisted of more than five different flowers just a fraction of what is available at our fingertips. I chose to finish the arrangement off with Purple Fountain grass (which sways in a gentle breeze) to symbolize that the mythological goddess was married to Zephyrus the god of wind
