Intertwining Arrangements

Personally I find this lesson theme can lean towards a crafty form especially if you do not take special care in manipulating your material.

Intertwining means two or materials can be twisted, wound, plaited etc to create another form. It the material is too fiddled it looses its essence and characteristic thus moving away from nature and towards something quite tight and false.

Intertwining is a very good skill building exercise, because you really have to know your materials and what it can sustain. Once the material has been ‘intertwined’ continue your arrangement not forgetting the elements of Sogetsu.
